∆ (Alt-J) Announce First Australian Dates

Sydney and Melbourne will get a chance to witness the British quartet next month.

Let's be honest, you're probably not really doing yourself any favours by calling your band , but the band in question have easily risen above any potential recognition issues by pumping out a brand of music owing a great deal to the electronic, post-rock, trip-hop and folk genres; a curious and intriguing mélange of sounds with particular focus on some incredible harmonies.

– which is pronounced Alt-J as those the keys one hits on a Mac keyboard to get said symbol – have won huge praise from critics across the world, making the release of their An Awesome Wave debut one of the most anticipated of the year. The British band have just announced they will make their first trip to Australia next month with a small tour seeing them visit Sydney and Melbourne for a couple of intimate dates.
