Artists, festivals and organisations have scored funds

Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu has today announced over $300,000 in grants as part of the Contemporary And Live Music Development Program, with artists such as Husky, Eagle & The Worm, Kim Salmon, Blackchords and East Brusnwick All Girls Choirs receiving funds for their projects.

Also included in the hand-outs was the Anglesea Music Festival, SheppSounds and the biggest winners, Australasian World Music Expo promoters Terrasphere Productions – who received $175,000.

Husky received the money to tour the American release of their record Forever So, East Brunswick All Girls Choir are recording their debut album, Antiskeptic received money for the production of their third album, Eagle & The Worm to tour the UK and Europe while Kim Salmon will launch a new website.

Jen Cloher received over $7,000 to tour new album Blood Money, as well as another $10,000 to set up a series of self-management workshops.
