Reformed Australian electro pioneers Dead Can Dance have charted in the UK with their comeback album Anastasis, which is sitting at 68 in this week's UK charts.

Released 16 years after the band's previous record Spiritchaser, members Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry announced a world reunion tour, which recently kicked off, and the album to accompany it.

The hugely influential duo, who implement world music influences into ambient and dark shapes, disbanded in 1996, but Gerrard in particular has been prolific since them. Composing and collaborating for a number of films, she worked on the Gladiator score with Hans Zimmer. He was nominated for an Academy Award for it and they both won a Golden Globe.

She has also won APRA and ARIA Awards.
