The UK-based band will be in Australia for next year's festival.

More Gallows More Gallows

Another band have let it slip that they will be appearing on the 2013 Soundwave line up, with Gallows the latest act to let the cat out of the bag before the festival can make their second line up announcement.

In a Facebook post made just after midnight today AEST, the band were frank about the announcement.

“We are delighted to announce that we will be playing at Soundwave Festival in Australia next year!” the status update read.

This will be Gallows' first trip to Australia in their new incarnation following the departure of original vocalist Frank Carter mid-last year. Carter's onstage performance style was one of the most dynamic elements of the band so their decision to continue was somewhat contentious among certain fans.

Whoever was called in to take Carter's place certainly had big shoes to fill; that responsibility fell to Alexisonfire guitarist and vocalist Wade MacNeil, who joined the band soon after that group announced they would be splitting up.

Gallows' new album will be released in Australian and New Zealand on Friday 14 September. Their latest film clip was also released yesterday.

Last week at a show in Brisbane, Billy Talent announced to the crowd that they would be back in the country to play Soundwave early next year. The second announcement of bands is expected some time next week, in between the festival's ticketing pre-sale, which is currently in progress, and the general public on sale date.
