The band's Be Ready When I Say Go has been named single of the week.

Emerging Perth outfit Emperors have been given a nice boost to their American profile this week with their track Be Ready When I Say Go named iTunes' Single Of The Week.

The song, taken from their debut album Stay Frosty, is available to American iTunes users for free this week. The description compares the band to Nevermind-era Nirvana and notes that despite the guitars being front and centre, "this is more about Adam Livingston's searing vocals, recalling Dave Grohl and Billy Corgan's finest hours."

The band have enjoyed a few syndications recently, with the track appearing on SBS's coverage of the Tour de France, Qantas in-flight entertainment as well as Australian radio.

The band will support Ladyhawke at Perth's The Bakery Tuesday 24 July, before playing the BIGSOUND and Rock It festivals later in the year.
