Glen Campbell To Make Courageous Aus Voyage With Kenny Rogers

American country music legends Glen Campbell and Kenny Rogers have announced an Australian tour today - remarkable in itself given Campbell's ongoing battle with Alzheimer's disease.

With 12 Grammys and tracks like The Gambler, Rhinestone Cowboy and Reuben James between them, the tour will kick off in New Zealand this August before crossing the ditch.

Campbell revealed that he was suffering from Alzheimer's June last year, before releasing what was to be his final album Ghost On The Canvas and embarking on a 'Goodbye' tour, where he was joined by three of his children in the backing band.

With the illness seemingly getting worse, it was expected that the album and tour were to be the last from Campbell, but showing remarkable resilience he has continued on performing.

The Australian leg of the Goodbye tour could realistically be the last time that Australian audiences get a chance to witness Campbell on stage. The two will perform shows together and separately on the tour.
