Somebody That I Used To Know is now pretty much the biggest thing in the history of the world, it seems.

More Gotye More Gotye

Gotye (real name: Wally de Backer) continues to be somebody that we all know, with the Belgian-Australian musician currently spending his fourth week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and a mighty impressive tenth at the head of Alternative Songs.

This means de Backer now holds the record for "longest-reigning number one by a soloist in the chart's 23-year history".

In addition, Somebody That I Used To Know is also currently number one on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs and Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. According to Billboard, it's the first song to ever top all four charts at the same time, and the first song since U2's Discoteque in 1997 and New Order's Regret in 1993 to top both Alternative Songs and Dance/Club Play Songs simultaneously.

In related news, Instagram user @bondiben noticed that Gotye's popped up on the popular mobile device game, Draw Something. Unfortunately there's no evidence of exactly how he drew a gotye.
