Michael Chugg Named 'International Music Person Of The Year'

Veteran Australian promoter Michael Chugg has been named the International Music Person Of The Year at MUSEXPO 2012 in Los Angeles.

Today Chugg offered to theMusic.com.au, "I feel so honoured to receive this special award… and the fact that it's for doing something that's a passion, not a job, just makes it all the more special."

He was presented with the award after a glala awards luncheon earlier today, Australian time.

MUSEXPO was founded in 2005 and is an industry-orientated conference and showcase that attracts music executives from around the world. One of its international summits was held in Perth in 2010.
