After cancelling at her first attempt, Lana Del Rey's not playing small venues anymore

Originally billed to tour earlier this year, Lana Del Rey cancelled her Australian tour as her profile exploded around the world. Booked, instead, for the Splendour In The Grass festival she has this morning announced sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne to accompany her visit.

If you've been living with your head outside the world of popular culture this past six months, Del Rey has been the polarising and sultry songstress taking over your YouTube most-viewed recently. Last year she buzzed off the back of tracks like Video Games and then Born To Die, the title track from her debut album. Then criticised for being a label creation promoted thanks to 'daddy's money', her first live performances - including a notorious spot on Saturday Night Live - were widely criticised. 

Through it all she's remained defiant, and her fanbase - nor the appeal of her album - can not be disputed.
