More Chet Faker More Chet Faker

Hype-attracting Melbourne electronica-soul artist Chet Faker has signed a deal with America's Dowtown Records, which will see the relase of his debut EP Thinking In Textures this May.

Downtown, home to Santigold, Gnarls Barkley and Spank Rock, will release the EP Tuesday 22 May, with a vinyl edition to follow Tuesday 19 June.

Released in Australia through Opulent/Remote Control, and thorugh Chess Club Records in the UK, a string of positive showcases, media coverage and deals have flung Faker onto the international watch-list. He first came to attention with a blog-viral cover of Blackstreet's No Diggity, before following it up with his EP, which has been tracking huge listens on streaming services like Rdio.

Faker will tour the UK in May to tie in with the Great Escape festival, before returning to perform at both the Sydney Opera House for Vivid LIVE and Splendour In The Grass in June and July.
