One of the more hyped bands to make their way out to Australia to be a part of 2012's Splendour In The Grass is US indie-garage purveyors Howler. The band, a subject of great praise from music press – particularly in the UK – in their early days released their debut America Give Up record earlier this year, a sharp slice of the surf inspired garage du jour that everyone is loving right now. They make their first visit to Australia for Splendour and two sideshows just announced this morning, where they will be joined by Oxford's latest indie wunderkinds Zulu Winter.

Catch them at the following shows:

The Corner Hotel, Melbourne – Tuesday 24 July

Oxford Art Factory, Sydney – Wednesday 25 July
