"Can I be honest?” asks Dave Eastgate. “When I got into this business, I got in under the premise that women rate sense of humour as one of the most attractive qualities in a man. I was like, 'This is going to be awesome – I am the funniest guy in the room.'” Fastforward to February 2010, and in a small comedy club in Kings Cross Eastgate is joined for an impromptu performance with Robin Williams. “It was a bit of a blur – sure the alcohol helped with that blur,” admits Eastgate, “but it was also a case of being completely overwhelmed and in awe of the guy. There is no denying, he is an absolute legend. He was extremely nice and generous. It was one of the greatest moments of my life.”

Eastgate also confesses to joining the long list of actors “to play Kyle Reese” at Japan's Universal Studios' Terminator 2 ride. Past actors include “Christian Bale, myself, the list goes on...” quips Eastgate, who lived and worked in Japan. “I was doing stand-up in Japanese by the end,” he says. His favourite Japanese phrase? Otsukaresama, which means 'thank you for your tiring efforts'. “I find those awkward moments in life funny.”
