PREMIERE: Sal Kimber & The Rollin' Wheel

30 April 2015 | 2:27 pm | Staff Writer

Sal Kimber & The Rollin' Wheel is Melbourne songwriter Sal Kimber's fresh new alt-country endeavour with The Rollin' Wheel, comprised of drummer Cat Leahy and sister Beth Kimber on keyboard, piano, accordion and glockenspiel. Ahead of the quintet's tour around the country in June, their new single Stumble In The Dark is premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au ahead of its official release on 15 May.

An orchestral track that opens with Beth on piano and Sal's emotion-laden vocals, Stumble In The Dark delves into the delicate world of layered slide guitar, strings and vocal harmonies, and was written in a beach shack. Shane Omara at Yikesville Studios in Melbourne produced the track.

Sal Kimber & The Rollin' Wheel will be hitting the road from June, taking to Melbourne, Sydney, Devonport, Brisbane, Mullumbimby and Adelaide to showcase their new single. Their debut album is due for release later this year.
