More Dan Cribb & The Isolated More Dan Cribb & The Isolated

West Australian troubadour (and, full disclaimer, The Music Perth editor) Dan Cribb and his band, The Isolated, have been hard at work in the studio of late pulling together their forthcoming debut full-length album, and now they have something tangible to show for it in the form of new single The Last Time, premiering today on theMusic.com.au and released via Pee Records.

The Last Time finds Cribb teaming up once more with Nick Diener — frontman of cult US punk outfit The Swellers and currently in the country for the Soundwave Festival tour — with the final track being the end result of a collaboration conducted across time zones and hemispheres, and amounts to a natural progression and evolution from the stripped-back sounds found on Cribb's 2012 acoustic EP.

Mixed and mastered by Mark Michalik (The Wonder Years, The Swellers) at Chicago's Drasik Studios, and featuring back-up vocals and additional guitar from Diener (plus The Isolated's Scott Connor), The Last Time marks the first taste of an exciting new era for the solo project-turned-full-band as the as-yet untitled LP nears its imminent release via indie label Pee Records.

Having continued to sharpen those live skills in support roles for Say Anything, Jay Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb), The Bennies and more, Dan Cribb & The Isolated will be launching the single at home at the Rosemount Hotel's Four5Nine Bar on Saturday, 14 March, alongside RoswellAmberdownBeing Beta and Noah Skape. If you're an east-coast fan, though, you'll have some chances to catch up with Cribb alone in the very near future — in fact, he hits The Bendigo, in Melbourne, tonight (24 February) with co-headliner Echolaand (Darren Cordeux of Kisschasy) and support from Georgia Maq, Lincoln Le Fevre and Craig Coburn, as well as an appearance lined up in Brissy tomorrow night, 25 February, at Sabotage Social, supported by Jud Campbell and Emmy Hour.

Beyond the launch show back home mid-next month, Dan Cribb & The Isolated will be performing with The Bennies on that band's forthcoming WA tour, as well as stopping in at the Prince Of Wales, Bunbury, on 27 March, and Perth's Amplifier Bar on Saturday, 28 March.
