"The crowd, now seriously hot and seriously sweaty, erupted with excitement."

More Migos More Migos

Rising Atlanta rapper, singer and songwriter 6lack was the support act for the first of two huge Migos shows at Hordern Pavilion. His DJ got the crowd hyped up with some current, huge, hip-hop songs before 6lack took to the stage, opening his set with Never Know, the opening track of his debut 2016 album Free 6lack.

By the time he kicked off his second song, recently released That Far, the floor of the Hordern was full and tightly packed with fans who knew all the words and rapped them back to him. 6lack talked about his Free 6lack project before showing off his vocals on the mellow Free, accompanied by his drummer, DJ and keys player. He got everyone to turn their phone torches on for Worst Luck, asked if he could talk to the ladies in the crowd before his Jhene Aiko collaboration First Fuck and elicited cheers by taking his shirt off for his biggest hit PRBLMS.

Migos' DJ, Durel played some Kendrick Lamar and Cardi B as the crowd, who were getting a little rowdy, waited for Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, members of the biggest trap group in the world to walk on stage. DJ Khaled, who opens their 2017 album Culture on its title track, appeared on screen to introduce the trio with something along the lines of, 'They don't want me to bring the Migos out'.

The crowd, now seriously hot and seriously sweaty, erupted with excitement as they began their second song, Slippery featuring Gucci Mane. They asked those standing to make a big circle in the middle of the floor for their 2 Chainz collaboration Deadz and addressed their day-one fans before taking it back to their 2013 track, Hannah Montana.

As if their performance wasn't firey enough, they enhanced their show with some real pyrotechnics, shooting flames from the front of the stage as well as streams of smoke and confetti, which rained down from the ceiling during T-Shirt.

They played one of their biggest hits, the lead single of their second album Bad And Boujee (featuring rapper Lil Uzi Vert) which the audience went crazy for, as they did for Handsome And Wealthy off their mixtape No Label 2.

Despite having no encore, Migos' satisfied fans spilled out of the venue hyped-up and buzzing with praise for the American hip-hop group.
