"'My Queen' has all the heartache, wit, poetry and honesty of her most well-known work."

More Diana Anaid More Diana Anaid

Since her fiery work in the 1990s, Diana Anaid has slipped through the cracks of popular culture.

She's not remembered with the same ease as outfits like Powderfinger or Something For Kate. Artists in that situation can often end up releasing albums that feel like grasps for relevance - but My Queen has all the heartache, wit, poetry and honesty of her most well-known work. If anything, Anaid's latest songs feel like they could sit right alongside the work of rising songwriters like Ali Barter and Alex The Astronaut. A great release from a great artist.
