"The hardcore legends have produced perhaps their most pissed off record to date."

More Toe To Toe More Toe To Toe

If their last album Arturo Gatti took Toe To Toe's sound back to the streets, Rise Up takes it down to the sewers.

25 years after their inception, the hardcore legends have produced perhaps their most pissed off record to date. Rise Up is a murky and abrasive beast chock-full of unrelenting riffs and frontman Scott Mac's raw tales of hard times.

Still, there's a sense of hope and defiance here as well, and the band can still churn out a singalong hardcore anthem with the best of them (in particular, check out their love note to their hometown Sydney). Rise Up is another banger from a band that really should have enjoyed far more success than they have.
