"Her most mature, organic album yet."

More Nelly Furtado More Nelly Furtado

Five years since her last full-length release, Nelly Furtado returns to music with The Ride — her most mature, organic album yet.

For those who only know Furtado for her 2000 hit I'm Like A Bird or Timbaland-produced club tracks like Promiscuous, her sixth album may come as a surprise. It's pop, but with the influence of producer John Congleton (St Vincent, Blondie), The Ride features some unusual instrumentation (like the real church organ used on Pipe Dreams) and explores darker themes with some of Furtado's deepest lyrics yet (Carnival Games, Magic, Phoenix).

Furtado's distinctly unique voice shines on The Ride — a well-produced, diverse showcase of her songwriting talents.
