"A true pop maverick."

More M.I.A. More M.I.A.

Cobbled together over considerable time, AIM's slew of producers - including Blaqstarr, Diplo and Skrillex - ensure a restless avalanche of studio wizardry but also an end product that's far from cohesive.

As we've come to expect, M.I.A. bounces along over a travelogue of afro-percussive styles in her patented Cockney-Lankan style that's been imitated over the years but never bettered, albeit with a grab-bag of the usual occasionally spot-on, occasionally half-baked sloganeering. A true pop maverick, if AIM is M.I.A.'s final studio release, as she's hinted, at least she's going out on her own terms.
