"Lost Society prove they are full of thick, crushing riffs and electrifying licks."

Finnish thrash purists Lost Society dish out a generous serving of tough heavy metal on Braindead.

Eliciting flavours such as Children Of Bodom or (glory era) Megadeth, Lost Society prove they are full of thick, crushing riffs and electrifying licks. Featuring songs crafted in different thrash tempos — Riot trundles callously, where Rage Me Up gallops along and cuts like Hangover Activator hit warp speed — each track is really a bedrock for some devilishly tricky guitar solos. Only (My) Death Is Certain, an eight-minute heavy metal epic, is an evil and gruelling apex for a record with longevity.
