"The album has a great mix of spooky techno and jangly post rock."

Astral Skulls aka Kurt Eckardt sets a feverish mood in Contact:Light, similar in some respect to XXYYXX and Crystal Castles, with the addition of distorted guitars and synth-laden beats.

The album has a great mix of spooky techno and jangly post rock. Astral Skulls has a slick vision and the album flows with ease and gentle urgency. Eckardt's vocals are much like Jonathan Pierce of The Drums. The entire project pushes conceptual boundaries, making for one of the most creative releases all year and helping Melbourne stand out as a musical hub in Australia.
