"Singer/songwriter Boyd has that classic understanding of melody that ensures his tales of love lost and longed for unerringly attach themselves to the listener"

With a real sense of drama in the way they arrange these five slices of roots/rock, it’s amazing the power and confidence this NSW Blue Mountains trio bring to their sound.

Acoustic guitar (and on a couple of tracks simply ukulele)-toting singer/songwriter Boyd has that classic understanding of melody that ensures his tales of love lost and longed for unerringly attach themselves to the listener, his Phatapillars knowing just when to pull back to allow the heartbreak in his voice to tug hard without becoming sickly or sentimental.
