"If most of the rap records on the charts sound devoid of production ideas, it’s probably because Tyler’s stolen most of them."

More Tyler, The Creator More Tyler, The Creator

Bad taste has always played an important part in rock music.

There’s no reason hip hop should be any different. As for the music itself, if most of the rap records on the charts sound devoid of production ideas, it’s probably because Tyler’s stolen most of them. Take the title track, encased in a fuzz so radioactive, it should only be experienced while protected by a contamination suit and a Geiger counter. There’s still a reason why he appends “the creator” to his name.
