"The title is a misnomer – deep down they’re dour, despondent and irretrievably lost."

The Canadian five-piece built a studio next to a nightclub for the recording of this album, and the environment has bled into their sonic aesthetic.

They generically toy with genres though – while the overt disco pop elements float to the surface on From The Night, This Is The Last Time and the title track, there are enough Phoenix jumps (Are You OK?), New Wave glam (Trap Door) and New Order brood (What Is To Be Done?) to suggest an aping of variety.

The title is a misnomer – deep down they’re dour, despondent and irretrievably lost.
