Like A Version is not just a chance for local artists to declare love of international pop (John Butler getting all Pharrell and Happy), but also to show some serious chops with minimal production.

Chet Faker getting some Sonia Dada on is that excitement when you rediscover a lost tune ((Lover) You Don’t Treat Me No Good No More) while the Ausmusic Month Medley led by Illy is shambolic and fun. REMI’s Since I Left You is so much more than a cover, while Lorde plays James Blake’s Retrograde straight down the line.
