After 15 years of our great friend Christie helming this weekly music industry column, he's leaving and we're making a major change in TheMusic.com.au from next week. This will give our loyal weekly readers an even greater opportunity to get their free weekly music industry news but additionally a Daily News Feed that we will be generating, also at no cost to readers.
As you may be aware, he's been working on a script which has taken him away a few times to his home country of Sri Lanka and he now wants to devote more time to the film as well as other writing. We see his leaving as a real loss but also gives us an opportunity to freshen the industry news with more critically current daily items. We'll also be taking press releases and other input from our industry contacts to be able to report on the business faster and better than a weekly paper trade or magazine column.
