There were a lot of things about it that we did in a different way and it helped us figure shit out and actually it’s made it a lot easier to write since.

"The record helped me figure out what was going on, what was going on with myself and my emotions and what I wanted in life.”

“When it comes to album time we don’t any sort of restrictions on what we want to put out, and we don’t want to do it to please anyone – we just want to try and have a great album that we love."

“I don’t really have a defined idea but we’ll see. We have a whole lot of touring to do. When we get back I will have a good idea of what we want to do. All of the ideas I have at this stage don’t even point to an album."

“I think the new album’s sounding good. We just premiered a new song at a gig recently and it went down really well. It’s probably the heaviest song we’ve ever written.”

“It’s taken me a very long time to put this album together, but the good thing about that is I’ve ended up with something I’m very happy with."

"Any time you hear something like, ‘Oh, Illy’s a fucking faggot,’ ‘Why?’ ‘Oh, because he’s got that fucking song.’ I have forty others that sound nothing like it."

"One of us went up and was like, ‘Hey, we’re in a band from Australia, we’re recording an album, and we were wondering if we could use your portrait for our album’. She was like, ‘Umm... yeah, okay’. She was a bit weirded out, but it was cool.”

“It feels like a second chance for us... The last album didn’t do so well."

They’ve just won the coveted triple j Unearthed Splendour In The Grass competition, and Melbourne indie rockers Kingswood are now heading to Queensland to promote their EP, Change Of Heart. Tony McMahon talks to drummer Justin Debrincat.

"I was battling demons in my head for ages," 360 tells us how he managed to stay true to himself as he tries to figure out how it all went so right.

“I know there are people out there who’ve started well but only ended up having a one album career."

"It’s those moments when your character’s tested, and your soul’s a little bit crushed..."

Despite being funny guys, Anti-Flag’s outspoken views mean the punk band are often seen as “political robots”, drummer Pat Thetic tells Daniel Cribb.

They've partied on Hellyeah’s tour bus and trashed stages across the US and now Dead Letter Circus are coming home to cause havoc in Australia.
