“We use to say we are road surfers because we are awful real surfers. We all have been trying to learn [to] surf a couple of times."

There were a lot of things about it that we did in a different way and it helped us figure shit out and actually it’s made it a lot easier to write since.

"The record helped me figure out what was going on, what was going on with myself and my emotions and what I wanted in life.”
