The Dominion League is Northbridge’s unofficial home of "sophisticated mischief"

WHISK(E)Y TALK

Named after the 1930s political group who fought for the secession of Western Australia from the rest of the Commonwealth, The Dominion League is Northbridge’s unofficial home of “sophisticated mischief”.

A typical local at street level and cosy spirit den in the basement, both the upstairs pub and downstairs cocktail bar are as cosy as they are stylish. It attracts all kinds of punters: from young guys eager to learn about whisky all the way to the booze nerd discussing the finer points of different malts, the bar’s amazing selection of quality booze caters to all types, budgets and palates.

Though the bar’s spirit selection is as balanced as you’ll find anywhere in Perth, there are plenty of different whiskys and whisky-based cocktails to order, such as the Honeycomb Old Fashioned (whisky, maple syrup, walnut bitters and honeycomb). As well as fresh, esoteric and up-and-coming whiskeys not stocked elsewhere, they’ve also managed to source a wonderful variety of Scotch whiskies.

FOR EATIN’

The chefs always put up a selection of moorish snacks that you can eat with your hands (think wings or jamon), as well as tasty twists on classics such as Cordon bleu with turkey breast and goat’s cheese, and cider and pork pies.
