"Juan Vesuvius embodies all of us, he's like what you would be if you suddenly became self-aware in a dream about the Caribbean."

The mish-mash of comedy and theatre is a fine line to walk, but one that Juan Vesuvius gracefully glides along.

From what is, quite frankly, an absurd beginning of Vesuvius soul-searching in a ski suit, we are then given a lesson in calypso music and taken on a journey that proves that even the most varied musical genres can be united as one. His flawless character impersonation, and unwavering ability to maintain the weird, is what makes this performance a standout. The music mashup is sure to get the hips moving and the brain working, and while it would have been suitable for the seats to be non-existent, without them, the triumphant finale would have never been possible. Juan Vesuvius embodies all of us, he's like what you would be if you suddenly became self-aware in a dream about the Caribbean. Go see him, and be sure to drink some rum beforehand.
