"Wade took us through the topics of steroids, top knots, wanking, his recent time in the US, smoking weed and his grandparents’ sex life."

Josh Wade is an engaging storyteller for his age and with some fine-tuning he will excel at comedy.

Central Coast’s Matt Reddy warmed up the evening with a 15-minute sketch. He engaged the crowd but the interaction didn’t always gel well even though at all times he looked relaxed and in control of the set. Reddy found himself tongue-tied once or twice, which hindered the delivery of a few jokes, but luckily he was able to laugh these moments off. With practice Reddy could polish his comedy routine as he already has that natural comfort and ease under the spotlight.

YouTube sensation Josh Wade warned his audience early on that his show was far from politically correct. Thankfully the misogyny was kept to a minimum when compared to his YouTube clips. At times Wade lost his way after a spin of improv. Wade took us through the topics of steroids, top knots, wanking, his recent time in the US, smoking weed and his grandparents’ sex life. While the topics reflect his relatively young age, 20, the crowd could not help but laugh. Wade ended on a positive note, though his interpretation of the recent discrimination debate may need some revision as he suggested that the laws should be changed to encourage free use of offensive words to aid with general desensitisation... Not sure about that one.
