The band's Jake and Stav step up for summer programming

More Bluejuice More Bluejuice

Bluejuice members Jake Stone and Stavros Yiannoukas will take up the Sunday night slot for triple j's summer line-up of hosts.

The public youth broadcaster has announced its summer programming hosts while regular presenters are on holiday leave, and Jake & Stav from the festival-favourite indie rock outfit will step up from their regular mid-dawn slot they have been holding down throughout 2012. Pundits have speculated that the network may be grooming them as the next hosts of the weekday breakfast show, currently hosted by Tom Ballard and Alex Dyson.

Elsewhere during the summer period, which kicked off this week and will run until Sunday 6 January, dance genre host Nina Las Vegas will take up a greater role on weekday nights from Monday to Thursday, with Deacon Rose hosting Friday and Saturday nights.

One half of comedy duo Fear Of A Brown Planet, Nazeem Hussain will cover late nights.
