The Melbourne post-punks are swinging back into action.

More MY DISCO More MY DISCO

Melbourne post-punk masters My Disco are getting back into the swing of things in what sounds like a very exciting way with an announcement of a new 12” EP last week and a small tour on which to launch it, which they announced this afternoon.

The band have been a little quiet of late; their Little Joy record of 2010 was given a fair amount of praise, as most of their records are, but after that cycle was over the band squirreled away again to work on new material (and recover from injury).

The new EP is being released through US label Temporary Residence – so you or your local indie record store will have to order it through them – it features two new tracks and remixes of those tracks from Factory Floor and Justin K. Broadrick and apparently goes for close to an hour!

The band hit Canberra, Sydney and Wollongong on the tour to launch the record (as well as playing in Melbourne with Shellac) and following this they will head out on tour in Europe and the United States.
