KISS, Mötley Crüe & Thin Lizzy Announce Australian Tour

14 November 2012 | 12:01 am | Dan Condon

Three of the biggest rock bands on the planet are set to tour Australia together next year.

More KISS More KISS

Between them they dominated the 1980s rock scene with big hair, big riffs and big egos and KISS, Mötley Crüe and Thin Lizzy are still doing enormous business around the world decades on.

KISS and Mötley Crüe have been touring together in the US for 45 dates and now it's Australia's turn to get in on the action, with the bands bringing Irish contemporaries Thin Lizzy out for this particular leg and rocking the living shit out of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Mackay and Adelaide.

This will be KISS' first tour of Australia since 2008 and sees the notorious masked rockers touring on the back of their brand new LP Monster. As if that wasn't reason enough to celebrate, 2013 marks the band's 40th anniversary as a band!

We had Mötley Crüe in Australia just last year, but we just can't get enough of them and welcome them back. For three decades Aussie audiences have been besotted by these rock'n'roll scallywags and they've proven to us that they can still rock with the best of them.

The past couple of years have seen original members Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and Darren Wharton hook up with Ricky Warwick, Damon Johnson and Marco Mendoza to bring Thin Lizzy back to life across the world and the reviews have been very strong indeed. We look forward to seeing how the band perform in this incarnation.

Brisbane up-and-comers Diva Demolition have scored the opening slot on this amazing bill.
