Kane Hibberd To Showcase Soundwave Book In Sydney

An awesome collection of heavy metal history will be celebrated

Since the heavy metal festival Soundwave made its national debut in 2008, photographer Kane Hibberd has ensured that every aspect of the festival has been covered. Now, each year of Soundwave's heavy music history have been compiled into one book that encapsulates the energy of the festival and provides viewers with an access all areas experience.

The book, titled Kanye Lens Vs Soundwave Vol 1, was funded by Hibberd and published independently. It includes more than 600 photos spread over 450 pages and personal commentary from the artists and crew involved in the heavy rock fest giant.

Following on from its Melbourne launch and exhibition, Hibberd will be presenting Kanye Lens Vs Soundwave Vol 1 on Thursday 11 July at the Newtown Social Club in Sydney. Copies of the book will be for sale and Hibberd will be available to sign books and prints.
