Eagle & The Worm Announce New EP, Tour

The Melbourne octet are getting back into action.

On Friday 12 October, Melbourne's Eagle & The Worm will follow up their wonderful 2011 debut record Good Times with a brand new EP that goes by the name of Strangelove. Apparently the record came when the band's leader Jarrad Brown was halfway through penning a sprwaling double-album when he decided it was time to change course; he penned a series of tracks that went from southern-rock to lounge and spaced-out psych, dropped by the studio with Steve Schram (who helmed Good Times' production) and worked with the band to flesh the tunes out.

The first single from the new EP is called Give Me Time and it will be released to radio on Tuesday 2 October, so keep your ears finely tuned so as to not miss out.

The band hit the road for a series of headline dates in support of the new release,

Saturday 3 November - Republic Bar and Cafe, Hobart
Saturday 10 November - The Tote Hotel, Melbourne
Friday 16 November - The Edinburgh Castle Hotel, Adelaide
Friday 23 November - The Bridge Hotel, Castlemaine
Sunday 25 November - Pure Pop Records, Melbourne
Thursday 29 November - Brighton Up Bar, Sydney
Friday 30 November - Old Manly Boatshed, Manly
Saturday 1 December - The Junkyard, Newcastle
