Swedish producer announced as the festival's 'EDM headliner'

The Future Music Festival has today announced its 'EDM headliner', with Swedish producer and DJ Avicii added to the bill around the country.

Having sprung to worldwide notoriety with his inescapable 2011 track Levels, the 23-year-old has become festival gold. Last year he played Coachella, Ultra, Creamfields and Lollapalooza amongst others, while also making a trip to Australia.

The top billed act on the festival's EDM stage, other performers include Dizee Rascal, Hardwell, Steve Aoki and Madeon.

The full festival line-up also includes The Prodigy, The Stone Roses, Bloc Party and The Temper Trap.

The festival will visit the following venues. Note, Adelaide's has changed:

Saturday 2 March – Doomben Racecourse, Brisbane
Sunday 3 March – Arena Joondalup, Perth
Saturday 9 March – Randwick Racecourse, Sydney
Sunday 10 March – Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Monday 11 March – Bonython Park, Adelaide
