Album Review: Manic Street Preachers - Futurology

Just nine months after their last studio album, Manic Street Preachers have managed to make a more fully realised, thematically consistent album than that tight turnaround should have ever allowed. The soundtrack to a road trip across the autobahn, Futurology combines a real Euro aesthetic with that signature Manic sound that has made these Welshmen so enduring. With big guitars, big keyboards, big production, and big anthemic choruses, Manic Street Preachers are a band that have never settled for anything less than piling on every single conceivable layer of bombast and excess. And that's how they should always stay.
